Dr. Jason Barton received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Frostburg State University. He earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic, cum laude from New York Chiropractic College in 2009. He is board certified in Chiropractic and certified in Advanced Bio-structural Correction technique and has extended studies in Kinesiology, nutrition and physical rehabilitation.
Dr. Jason has always been interested in human performance. After serving in the U.S. Army Light Infantry, he played football and and was a member of the Zeta Chi Athletic Fraternity while he earned his undergraduate degree. He spent 5 years as a personal trainer helping people achieve their personal fitness goals. During this time, Dr. Jason sought treatment from a chiropractor for his own spinal issues. It was then that he realized his true calling and set on the path to study chiropractic.
Upon completion of his doctorate, Dr. Jason and his family decided to make Ithaca their home where he has been practicing in Ithaca and Cortland since 2009. He has developed his practice using the patient centered approach, concentrating on improving quality of life for his patients with cutting edge chiropractic techniques, muscle testing and nutrition, training, and a little common sense, to structurally correct the spine.
When Dr. Jason is not practicing, he enjoys trail running, coaching youth sports, yoga, and fitness training alongside his wife Christina and their three sons. Dr. Jason treats infants, children, pregnant women, adults, and seniors at his Ithaca and Cortland offices.
